Common Client Concerns

Tackling silent doubts

Trust Starts Here

We get it – we’re consumers too. You’re about to make a significant purchase with money that is valuable to you. You want to alleviate doubt and make sure you’re making a smart decision.

Selecting the right HVAC service provider can feel overwhelming—especially when you’re faced with significant costs of HVAC systems. On top of that—you’re placing your trust in a contractor to deliver on their promises, and we know that’s a big leap (we’ve all heard the horror stories or experienced them firsthand).

At Fast Heating & Air, we don’t shy away from these concerns. In fact, we address them right from the start. We engage in open, honest dialogue with our customers, ensuring they are heard and understood. Here are the most common concerns we encounter and how we put them at ease.

1. Hidden Fees

Like the check-out bill at a resort, we’ve all encountered unexpected and unpleasant fees. It’s frustrating and downright annoying – you feel duped. We never want our customers to feel this way at Fast Heating & Air.  We provide full and bundled pricing up-front.

2. Fear of Being Overcharged

We provide fair pricing.  While we don’t claim to offer the lowest price, we do guarantee the best value. With our exceptional service, high-quality equipment, expert installation, and comprehensive warranties, we deliver an all-inclusive package maximizing your investment.  When you look at the full value of what we provide, we come out on top.

3. Subpar Installation

Let’s be honest—installation quality varies greatly. There are other vendors who rely on YouTube videos for guidance with no formal training, experience, or understanding of the nuances involved in a proper installation. Unfortunately, you wouldn’t know this by the claims they make.

At Fast Heating & Air, we give our technicians direct, hands-on training from the manufacturers themselves. Our technicians regularly arrive at 7 AM for classroom training. This first-rate instruction ensures they are equipped with the skills and knowledge delivering top-notch installations every time. It’s this level of expertise that allows us to stand behind our work with confidence, offering robust warranties, knowing we can back up the quality of our service.

4. Using Low-Quality Parts to Cut Costs

When you go through the effort of having someone come to your home to fix or install something, you expect it to be done right the first time—not to deal with callbacks a week or a month later because something went wrong. Unfortunately, that’s what you get with contractors who cut corners by using cheap parts or systems to save on costs, leaving you with a headache.  Our vendors are proven pros who back up their own equipment with warranties.

5. Unpredictable Arrival Times or No Shows

We get it—relying on a contractor can feel like a gamble, wondering if they’ll actually show up or not. It’s frustrating, and it’s a shame that this has become the standard in our industry.

With Fast Heating & Air, the only variable in the appointment time is how bad the traffic is along the route to your home. We’re not some dodgy vendor operating out of the back of his truck. We’ve been in business since 1986, with an office building you can come down and visit if you want to. With the upcoming appointment, we provide a regular stream of texts so you know that we’re coming, and when we’ll arrive.

6. "Take the Money and Run" Contractors

This is every consumer’s worst nightmare—writing a check only to have the contractor disappear without a trace. That’s not us. We’ve been in business since 1986.  We’ll be here long after the service is complete, assisting whenever you need us. We are a bonded company, backing up our promise with a financial guarantee.

7. Employ sub-contractors not met nor approved

Here’s what some firms do: They acquire a lead, bid on the job, and the sub-contract out the job for a lower cost. They’re not really an HVAC firm – they’re a marketing firm with a long list of HVAC sub-contractors willing to low-bid a job. The marketing firm then pockets the difference between what the home owner paid, and what was paid to the lowest-cost HVAC firm.

Else, the HVAC firm does indeed heating & cooling work, but nothing else. Should a home system issue arise, such as faulty wiring, the HVAC contractor then hires his buddy from a different firm to cover the work.

Fast Heating and Air is a full HVAC firm. Everyone who enters your house works for us, meaning that person has been vetted through our background check, drug testing, and certification. Then, since we’re a member of the Fast Home Services family, if you need a plumber or electrician, that tradesperson comes from our organization as well.

8. Lack of Long-Term Support for Repairs

Here’s a quick story:  We installed a new HVAC system for a young family with a child.  Over the years, the aging parent moved into a smaller and simpler house, while their child purchased his parent’s home.  When that HVAC system we originally installed needed service, he picked Fast Heating and Air again.  We’ve been around long enough to handle second-generation HVAC owners, and we’ll continue to be here for whatever HVAC needs you have in the future.

9. Unlicensed Contractors

You’ve probably come across those semi-shady contractors offering quotes that seem too good to be true, leaving you wondering how they’re able to cut corners. We’ve been licensed for decades, and we do not sub-contract out, meaning our team has passed rigorous exams testing our knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards—ensuring we can legally operate and provide quality service. You can verify our license number with the state right now: NORDSHA772L2

10. Damage to Your Home

We’ve seen the aftermath of careless installations by less-than-reliable contractors—scratched floors, dinged walls, and damaged furniture—and we understand why people worry about this. While it may sound like an overused phrase, we truly treat your home like ours. That means we wear booties to avoid tracking dirt, pad and wrap equipment when moving through your home, and make sure to clean up thoroughly. We understand the pride homeowners take in their space.

11. No Communication

No one likes surprises or being left in the dark. Your life is already busy—why add more confusion or chaos to the mix? That’s why we make it a point to communicate the details at the frequency that works best for you. If anything, we tend to over-communicate ensuring you’re always fully informed and never left guessing.

12. Not Understanding Your Needs

It’s a common concern—how can you be sure the person you’re hiring is doing a quality analysis?  Without proper evaluation, you could end up with an HVAC system that can’t heat or cool your home effectively, or one that wastes money by over-operating. Likewise, sometimes what the homeowner wants, and what the house needs, are not the same.

Our HVAC success is founded upon a quality analysis of your household factors (square feet, number of windows, insulation values, ceiling height, and so on).  We determine the right HVAC system that best serves both your unique house and your family’s needs.

13. Bad Warranty Quality

We don’t install low-quality systems, nor do we work with equipment vendors who can’t stand behind their products. Our warranty is up to three years on labor and 12 years on parts —something other vendors struggle to match.

14. Warranty Claim Hassle

Thanks to the high quality of our installations and equipment, warranty claims are rare. However, we understand that in the real world, things don’t always go perfectly. That’s why, if a warranty claim arises, we handle it with the same care and dedication as when we first installed your HVAC system. We NEVER want our customers to be disappointed with their equipment. That’s the Fast Heating & Air way.

Leave Your Concerns Behind with Fast Heating & Air

At Fast Heating & Air, we understand that trust is earned, not given. That’s why we make it our mission to address these common concerns our customers have and reassure them. Transparency, professionalism, quality, and service are at the forefront of everything we do. Our ultimate goal is providing you with an HVAC system that not only meets your needs and delivers lasting value, but also creates an experience that leaves you smiling long after we’re gone.
